Land of Spirituality
Hindus believe that God resides within every human body and that it is very important to connect with that inner divine. A basic tenets of Hinduism is to focus on improving and nurturing your inner self rather than on others. This is the basis of spirituality with an ultimate goal of liberation from the cycle of birth and death and becoming one with God (moksha). This can be achieved through various means like meditation, yoga, etc.
Yoga originated in India thousands of years ago and is the science of controlling your mind and the five elements (earth, water, sky, fire, and air) that constitute a human body. Yoga has been practiced for ages to promote mental and physical well-being.
Meditation or Dhyana is the exercise of connecting with your consciousness through focusing on your breathing or through chanting. Meditation has lot of psychological benefits and allows you to disconnect with your thoughts and look at them as an objective observer. Meditation is a process to find your inner divine (atman or soul) and ultimately unite with God.
We have been endowed with the spiritual truth and awareness of the eternal, formless, all-pervading almighty God by the grace of our Satguru; and with this one God, who may be addressed in form of any idol, river, mountain, rock or tree, our relationship is that of mindful remembrance.
